Try to sustain the melody throughout the piece (try to imitate the way a tenor would sing the top line of an aria). In this passage, the grace note (D) played with 4 is a whole step away from the main melody note (C#), which makes the legato more difficult. If you find this hard to get a good clear sound, try practicing whole step grace notes with no accompaniment, only using 3 and 4.
